Orc

Concept made for future RPG campaign I want to DM in the future, which takes place in the Eastern fantasy world. Each of the basic races has a background inspired by some Asian culture - more precisely South, Southeast and Far East - and all have birds like mounts.

Orcs are inspired by feudal Japan, with their lands dominated by five different shogunates, who vie for power both among themselves and with the Human Empire to the west. As bellicose as they are, the orcs are the oldest people in the world, being as advanced as the humans, dominating gnomish lands and warring directly with the dwarven hordes. Cassowaries are the main orcish mount due to their natural aggressiveness. Peaceful scouts and messengers use emus. There are reports of orcish armies using titan birds (elephant birds) to carry siege engines.
